Health Insurance Coverage Plans

In troubled financial times, cutting costs wherever possible often seems like the wisest course of action for many people. While cutting back on eating out or discretionary spending can certainly be financially advantageous during tough times, one area that should remain high on the priority list is spending for health insurance. It can be difficult to justify the monthly financial outlay for insurance premiums when you're struggling to make ends meet, especially if you're relatively healthy. However, when you consider the benefits of maintaining coverage versus the dangers of not being covered, the wisdom of keeping adequate coverage becomes clear.

America can afford to choose the best from other countries as it debates how to improve its healthcare system. Lets hope that Congress can be creative, look outwardly, and not get bogged down in political dogma. These ideas are taken from what I consider to be the best parts of the American, Australian and British health systems. No country has a perfect health system, and no country ever will.

In the PPO scheme the list of doctors and hospitals the insured person can use is much larger, and hence the monthly cost or premium is higher. Normally, under California Group Health Insurance scheme the company only pays the premium and therefore, the HR has to decide which one to choose among HMO or PPO. California Health Insurance has a reputation of being honest, dedicated, offering schemes full of benefits, and their excellent service.

Of course all sides are exaggerating and taking up extreme positions. They will all in time compromise and hopefully reach
some form of agreement. The sad part is that at present they don't seem to be thinking of the person at the center of all this - the patient. It is widely acknowledged that healthcare costs far too much in this country, while at the same time at least 47 million Americans are uninsured. So, from a patients perspective, if you do have health insurance, you are paying way too much for it, and getting poor value, and if you don't have it, then you just continue to suffer. What a dreadful choice. What an indictment of America.

Adults with children or other dependent family members have an additional reason for maintaining health insurance not only for their dependents, but also for themselves. If health problems should keep you from performing your job, your family could be placed in severe financial distress if they are left to cover your medical bills as well as normal living expenses. Financial and physical peace of mind are hard to come by, but maintaining your health insurance coverage will ensure that you and your family are protected in times of crisis.
