Lumbar Roll (aka side posture) - In this the patient is positioned on his or her side, the chiropractic doctor then applies a quick and precise manipulative thrust to the misaligned vertebra, so as to return it to its proper position. 3. Release Work - A gentle pressure is applied by the chiropractor using his or her fingertips to separate the vertebrae. 4. Table adjustments - The patient is made to lie on a special chiropractic table with sections that drop down. The chiropractor then applies a quick thrust at the same time the section drops.
